Food being a basic necessity, humans have developed over 1000’s different tastes/cuisines which vary from place to place, person to person etc. Knowing local cuisines with authenticity and enjoying the same requires a basic level of understanding.

While many people enjoy and cherish the diversity offered at different locations/ cultures or countries, few travellers also have selective choices or dietary/religious requirements. Understanding the basic needs and cultural/ religious needs helps the travellers/host to offer more suitable foods and making the visitors comfortable is a challenge

Going by the famous proverb “The easiest root to a man’s/Woman’s heart is through his/her stomach”, One can win over your friends/visitors at ease and convert business opportunities into success. Wining friends is easier.

International culture? 

Culture in the sociological field is analysed as the ways of thinking and describing, acting, and material objects that together shape a group of people's way of life.

Culture is the combination of shared values, norms, and beliefs of people and refers to the way of living life inherited from generations and consists of behaviours, values, and symbols. The accumulation of experiences, beliefs, attitudes, behaviours, values, religions, and knowledge of a group of people is called culture.

Culture involves differentiates the people of one group from others and varies from place to place, country to country etc.

Challenges?

Human beings are free in living their lives, but they are also expected to follow the norms set by society. They cannot live as per their style.

Cultures differ from place to place, however with the increased levels of travel and tourism for business and for study purposes, cultures tend to mix a lot and become a hybrid version. Example: The Indian people these days wish in English “Good morning” rather than the Indian “namaste”, etc.
